Indian River Trip

The Carib Indians once lived on the shores of the Indian River and offers a fascinating tour.

The trip up the river is quiet - no motors are allowed. It is also narrow and well shaded.

The banks of the river are anchored by the roots of the bwa mang tree.

We saw egrets and iguanas in the trees

Wild Hibiscus also lines the shore.

There is a small garden displaying many of the indigenous plants. Here are some crotons.

Bird of Paradise

And a nice juicy caterpillar.

And a pineapple for dessert.
